Art Direction
Ocado is renowned for its exceptional delivery drivers, and this project set out to spotlight the meaningful relationships they build with customers. For many households, the arrival of an Ocado delivery is more than a routine transaction; it is a moment of anticipation. From a parent awaiting ingredients for a much-loved family recipe, to children excitedly wondering which iconic van will pull up outside, to even the family dog ready for its weekly treats, each delivery carries its own sense of occasion.
Our brief was to direct a shoot that authentically captured this connection between driver and customer. Through considered storytelling, we focused on the small yet significant moments that define the delivery experience, the smile at the door, the friendly exchange, and the sense of reliability and familiarity.
A particular emphasis was placed on the excitement children associate with Ocado’s distinctive vans. Having become popular collectibles, these miniature replicas have created a unique cultural touchpoint for younger customers. Capturing the joy of a child seeing “their” van arrive at the doorstep became one of the standout moments of the campaign, a simple yet powerful reflection of the brand’s emotional resonance.
